We have only to listen

Today for a few moments of your busy day
Listen to the universe and all it has to say
Let the sounds  of morning echo deep inside
and the noonday sun warm you from outside

When the evening comes foreshadowing the night
Content yourself  beneath the moon's gentle light
And when  night comes singing to your tired will
Let sleep carry you off to moments calm and still

The universe sets the  tempo that is good for  all
It beats within the hearts of the great and small
We have only to listen to our spirits deep within
To hear what we must do each new day we begin
