little birds are chirping welcoming the night
soon they will be sleeping; fading is the light
their music is uplifting filled with gentle love
the melody unites me to the heights above
the golden sun is setting cooling down the air
darkness slowly falls now; touching everywhere
night is all around me; but shining is a light
the moon so kindly shares so we can see aright
ready for some rest now the day has been quite long
i'm picturing for a moment a place with quiet song
there i rest my spirit and and let the melody
calm me in my quiet place so sleep can come to me.
