So much has happened to bring us here:
We've known some laughter; we've know some pain
We've known the normal and moments insane
There's been some bests and also some worsts
We've felt we were blessed and also were cursed
There's been some upset and also some joy
We were seen as angels and as folks who annoy.
With all that has happened: we're all still alive
Ready for the Near Year: equipped to survive
The old year, now ending has brought us all here
So to you and your family: Happy New Year.
