I open my curtains and look out and see
A beautiful frostiness: exquisite as can be
Chilliness is singing and the lovely birds too:
The winter is coming; it's coming it's true..
The daylight is starting and I shiver about
The morning is breaking without any doubt
A ruffle of branches and a scuffle on the ground
Tells me the squirrels are hurrying around
Digging and poking for things they have stored
Creatures are searching but never getting bored
Jumping and hopping and wiggling a nose
These rabbits embrace it: the wind as it blows
The ground is all crinkly and starting to brown
Crystals of iciness are making a gown
The coldness is present at least where we are
The winter is coming both near and both far
How is it, the weather, in the place where you stay?
Is it chilly and frosty or sunny all day?
Does the winter bring snow fights or beaches and sun
The winter will vary but comes for everyone......
Greetings Joy. Winter is indeed on its way! We had snow here in Chester yesterday! It didn't last long as the rain came an hour later, making everywhere slushy! Blessings to you. I enjoyed reading.
