For sufferers of PTSD
Memories keep replaying here
In my mind I always hear
Words and moments of those days
When my life was but a maze
And its you I always see
Towering hovering over me
Cannot stop it all this pain
PTSD still remains
Sounds and actions night and day
Seem to shout and seem to say
Remember this and remember that
Swinging belt and swinging bat?
And its you I always see
Towering, hovering over me
Cannot stop it: all this pain
PTSD still remains
You were monstrous never feared
Shouting yelling in my ear
Shameless hateful flinging might
Never stopping day or night
And its you I always see
Towering, hovering over me
Cannot stop it: all this pain
PTSD still remains..
When the others shake their head
Over actions, hurt has bred..
Suffering opens up again
They aren't able to see within...
And its you I always see
Towering, hovering over me
Cannot stop it: all this pain
PTSD still remains..
So I beg you..when you see
Someone suffering: same as me
Do not judge; them do not flee
From the prisoners of PTSD..
And its you I always see
Towering, hovering over me
Cannot stop it: all this pain
PTSD still remains..
