On the tiles beneath this roof a cry of death does sound
Gathered here to worship God and to our God we went
A mad man entered here today: allowed his sin to vent
No one knew this day would see a river flowing red
From the place where people prayed and shared communal bread
But it happened all too quick without a warning clear
Someone with a mind of hate brought eternity to us here.
Some are gone, and some have stayed: to carry on the faith
But, we mustnt wonder, in God's eyes: what will be his fate
Gunning down so many souls who gathered there to pray
Foolishness has its reward ..and darkness has its day
To the families affected there: drenched by sorrows deep
Know our God will rescue you: from tears you shed and weep
He's our Hope; our Constant now: He's the One we praise
Trust Him with your brokenness and He will heal your days
Greetings Joy. A well written, poignant piece. Sorry for any suffering to the victims and their families! God bless you as you express His love. Blessings to you.
