Before the rest of the world awakes

Before the rest of the world finally awakes
And trees begin bending and starting to shake
I rise to greet morning: the approaching of day
And drop some thanksgivings all over the way

I can see at a distance a glimmering of light
The morning star dancing, with rays ever bright
Pushing through darkness she's bringing us dawn
Sparkles of daylight announces night is all gone

Without need for the speaking or rackety noise
The universe breaks open without audible voice
Sounding her secrets on the wings of the wind
She's inviting us to wisdom and an oasis within.
