Our own garden of Eden

I was touching every molecule as I reached up into the breeze
Each one left me feeling,  something, nobody can ever see:
The essence of all the Universe; the presence of the Great Divine..
I was holding, for a moment, Someone greater than this heart of mine

Oh if only we could contain it ...all this Godness all around
We would be.. so much.. the better;  we would be treasures to be found:
But we are all so mortal and are as feeble as can be
We  trade in all our greatness for some novelty that we see..

As the morning sounds were sounding I looked up into the sky
The clouds were beginning to form and I could hear the Heavens sigh
Through the movement of the breezes and the rustling of the wind
I could hear the words of creation as they were echoing once again

Oh if only we could contain it.... all this Godness all around
We would be.. so much.. the better;  we would be treasures to be found:
But we are all so mortal and are as feeble as can be
We  trade in all our greatness for some novelty that we

I could picture it, that first Eden, where our parents of origin ran
How beautiful and unburdened it must have been when life began
No brushes of worldly touches or any wisps of polluted air
Ever pranced across that garden or tainted the inhabitants there..

Oh if only we could contain it ...all this Godness all around
We would be.. so much.. the better;  we would be treasures to be found:
But we are all so mortal and are as feeble as can be
We  trade in all our greatness for some novelty that we.

Only we are able to change it ..all this beautifulness sublime
With all  of our searching intelligence we can wrestle away God's time
Changing it into our own likeness and tarnishing it with our greed
What was once our own garden of Eden has become the Devil's seed....?

Oh if only we could contain it ....all this Godness all around
We would be.. so much.. the better;  we would be treasures to be found:
But we are all so mortal and are as feeble as can be
We  trade in all our greatness for some novelty that we
