For all those who lost a special someone

Your hands were so frozen as I ventured to touch
Gone was your light that I loved so very much
Words were not spoken as you lay there so still
I still see that moment; how awful I did feel

Your death left me hurting your passing did hurt
My eyes welled up quickly as they shoveled that dirt
Leaving your body and your remains in the ground
Left me to gather up what memories were around

The news came so quickly and left me in shock
I didn't even expect it; you were always a rock
Now you're being taken, to a time I cannot go
Till life lets me follow: I will be missing you so..
