Unplug it all

Unplug that ole computer and turn off your cell

Everything that is blaring: remove it, as well

Just for a moment, or perhaps even a hour

See how you feel unplugged from that power

Inside of your being and without any noise

Tell me, can you hear it: that Almighty Voice

Challenging you to a newness: an innocence within 

That will easily discover the beautiful again 

But only if you're willing for a few moments  a day

TO pull away from the things that are pulling you away

From all of that is discoverable withnin you and out

If you silence your spirit even the daisies will shout

So slow down your tempo and slow down your pace

Life wasn't ever meant to be a commpetitive race

Despite all of the hoopla and the media campaigns

Your happiness isn't found in any of their chains

But in the humble recognition that the whole world will lie

To take from your being what  money cannot buy

So stay sober in your spirit and be ready to rise

Knowing nothing can compare to the riches inside...
