What's it all for ?

All of this fighting..and...all of this war..
Can anyone tell me: what it is all for..
Why can't we all settle without violence or hate
We're needing an adjustment.. it's getting too late

It's not only the bombing but the hateful remarks
That create so much tension and terrible sparks
You think it's the machinery and the bombs in the air
That is disturbing each  nation .oh reader beware

For it's the lying and cheating and the uncaring  heart
That creates all  the tensions : the destructive start
Before ever a bombing ..or any war plane can fly
We have been destroying each other .. how awful ..oh my

So if we're going to try  settling  this tragedy of war
Our resolutions must start here at own country's door
For we're  embarrassing each other before all of the rest
Condemning and fighting like a nation unblessed
