What about the wars ..right here?

There is warring all over and warring right here
Ominous and frightful..and causing us fear
Ruthless and careless and provoking true hate
Will love be able to change it..our unquestionable fate...?

I see it in the newscast..and I can see it in posts
People are boasting about what'll help the most
The left side and the right side and those in between
No one is ever loving.. if you know what I mean..

Families are all fighting and coworkers are too
Arguing and fussing over what we should do
Blocking and unfriending and being unkind
So much of this activity is hurting my mind..

Cursing ...and yelling and saying: "I am right"
"Disagree with me".."and we are going to fight"
It is awfully ironic and and .oh..so unfair
That we don't love our family ..like "those people out there"

Not that.. standing up for  others... is ever so wrong
But what about the relatives ..we've  avoided so long
Why is it so important to stand up and protest
For wars  at a distance ...while denying family requests?
