Thank you to all our veterans.. 
living and deceased

There are some who went beyond 
and took up arms to give and fight
They sacrificed time ..they sacrificed all 
they've earned respect; it is their right

Some were young and some were old
Who gave for us.. and this we're told
They trained for battle and some have fought
To protect the rights that history's bought

Some paid the cost the largest price
They've lost their lives but still some live
Caught up in a time they can't forgive

We see some wounded and others ..not
But all have given a measured spot
Of time and valor and of readiness
An oath they made and promises..

Were ready with guns to protect what's dear
Our democracy ... our land so brave
They are the colors in the flag we wave...
