Do not ever,  lose yourself in your reaching out for more
Don't forget your calling..and what you were truly  created for
The world can promise your riches and everything that it has
But nothing can last forever: and its promises cannot ever  last

So cling to the One Who will really be there..both: now and forever
Who will lift you up whenever you're falling and desert you never ever
He is your Creator, your Redeemer, your Father and your dearest Friend..
God Almighty, your Deliverer, His promises will never end..

I saw you, the other day: you were buying up all of those chances.
Hopeful wishes for more money.. enticing you with their glowing glances
You fell for it..all of their promises ..that were laid out for you that day
Now you are stuck inside that  rat race.. you once ran away from along the way

So cling to the One Who will really be there..both: now and forever
Who will lift you up whenever you're falling and desert you never ever
He is your Creator, your Redeemer, your Father and your dearest Friend..
God Almighty, your Deliverer, His promises will never end..

The clamoring of this world can become so very loud
It's hard to resist them: all of those cries  from the "popular crowd"
choosing to pull away  from it and not follow anything but your own tune
Is not something that would be popular or be encouraged any time soon

How much fun,  can it be, under the microscope of another person's glare:
Doing everything you can.. to have a part in their acquired share
Sure thing, it is, you can have everything... that you can ever want
But, you will never be truly happy:  trying to keep up  with this dictated front
