In the morning outside my door
A quiet rabbit sits on earthen floor
Nibbling seeds meant for the birds
Our eyes lock up..no need for words
The glow of moonlight drifts away
And orangish skies announce the day
Wisps of coolness ride the air
Humid whispers are everywhere
Birds are pecking..squirrels too
This is their custom..it's so true
Eyeing me, they will flit and fuss
But don't see me as someone dangerous..
I breathe in quietly and remain
A quiet spectator but do abstain
From all the noisy-ness and the rush
I can feel it deeply: God's love for us..
