These words I form and  I say
Take all of our warring away
Today and everyday

Because we have all so tragically changed
Our values have all been rearranged
And instead of being the loving uniters;
We are all..the instigators and fighters

It is not just somewhere out there
Where the machine guns rattle the air
But here  close to our own United States
Things are happening worse than the fiery debates

Each day whenever I pray

We all seem to think that we know
What is the best for the rest and so
We raise up our voices and shout
And drown all the other opinions out

Each day whenever I pray
These words I form and I say
Take all our warring away 
Today and everyday

If only for once and for all
We could let all of our weapons fall
The name calling the lying the hate
And be satisfied with a civilized debate

Each day whenever I pray

We were once, all,  so united ...so caring
Independent but everyone's burdens bearing
Now we are so tragically torn apart
By the divisions our politics impart
