For every one of you mothers: up in Heaven or on earth
We thank you very kindly for your partipating in our birth
For contributing to our makeup:  our genes and who we are
We thank you for your efforts: you are our super star

We also  thank you mothers  who have never given us birth
But have brought to so many people a newness upon this earth
By your laughter and your sharing your kindness and your joy
You have been our spiritual mothers whose efforts cannot be destroyed

So many are the many women..the heroic and selfless ones
Who have reached out to a dying world and stopped the destructive tongues
Who have lifted up the broken hearted and have assisted the destitute
Your lives are an open haven and your words are our saving fruit
