Don't you know who I am?

(for those who might be struggling) 

Every tear drop that you shed; every moment that you've cried
I have been here as your help, I have been here at your side
But you didn't even call and you didn't let me see
That you trusted in My word: that I could set you free

Don't you know who I am; don't you see what I can do
I can take away your hurts, and every sorrow you've been through
Though you do not see Me here; though you do not understand
I Am always here to help; you have only to take My hand...

In the mornings when you've wept,  in your frustration and your fear:
I was whispering to your heart: "Look at Me, for I am here"
But you couldn't hear My words and you couldn't see My face
For your hurts were so intense and your soul felt such disgrace

Don't you know who I am; don't you see what I can do
I can take away your hurts, and every sorrow you've been through
Though you do not see Me here; though you do not understand
I Am always here to help; you have only to take My hand...

In the beginning of all time before this world ever  began
I created from the cosmos.. both the woman and the man
And  I put there, in their hearts: a longing for what should be
And so they're ever restless until they rest their hearts in Me

Don't you know who I am; don't you see what I can do
I can take away your hurts, and every sorrow you've been through
Though you do not see Me here; though you do not understand
I Am always here to help; you have only to take My hand...

So when you're down and burdened and you're feeling quite alone
Remember who I am.... and that you've always got a home.
No matter where you're going; or where you might have been:
I am the One who made you and I'll take you back again..
