Like a bombshell shattering upon my roof
The storms were near and were not aloof..
They blew, they shook, they made me fear:
Enormous sounds filled up my ear..
Flashes of lightning, struck here and there:
Their streams, of light, were everywhere.
Battering the ground; and brightening the sky:
Lightning was flashing; it was nearby.
Shaking the earth, with horrendous sound:
The thunder, was boisterous: was all around.
The rooms,, they echoed: they shook and shook..
Conflicting cumulonimbus became sleep's crook..
Beneath all the covers, the cats and I
Waited for storms to slowly pass by..
But one was courageous and boldly did stand:
In the midst of that noisiness: my brave Orion..
I enjoyed reading your poem, some good rhymes. Well done.
