Ice storm

Ice figures and crystals are decorating the land
The air seems to stand up inside of my hand
The freezes of winter and  the chill of the day
Are echoing their messages: they've so much to say

The lighting and fuel sources are stopped in their tracks
The coldness and dampness seeps in through the cracks
The storm of the season has taken its toll
We're glad it has ended its grasp on our soul...

Now driving through road ways we see it, all around
The branches and tree limbs that ice has knocked down
The crystals most precious but costlier yet
Are the diamonds that stand still on leaves that were wet.
