In the gulf, we can see it, that awful storm
It's growing in waters; that are so warm
The speed's increasing and winds gusts too
Tell us, oh IDA, what will you do?
The picture's frightening; we are afraid
For it reminds us of another who stayed
Some years ago with death and doom
Katrina came out, with open tomb
I pray and plead and pound God's door
Please oh please protect earth's floor
That holds so many inside their place
Louisiana is needing Your help Your grace
The others around her, will also need
Your protection and love ..please intercede
She's so enormous and is pushing through
IDA is approaching with noisy gloom
We trust you, completely; Oh God of all
And so we kneel and humbly call:
Protect all peoples who 'll suffer much
Extend to them: Your healing touch
