With snow on the ground
Everything's cradling
The new winter gown
Snowflakes are sniffling
And move through the air
Icycles are forming
There's frost everywhere
Warm winter clothing:
The snow boots, the shoes
Are pushing through coldness
And icy cold blues
Bitterly biting:
The temperatures dip
Not a bad day for
The hot chocolate chip
Warming the blankets
the heater's on blast
Making some mocca
And broth that will last
Coughing and wheezing
The seasonal flu
Catches us napping
Unready, it's true
Greetings Joy. I enjoyed reading your poetic-piece about winter. The first two verses really captured my attention, very well written with good rhymes. The piece flowed well, and the metre is appeasing. Sadly a lot of us fall ill as the temperatures drop below zero! Well done, you captured a picture expressing winter very well.
