We are not the justices, the sheriffs of all

How does the taking of the life of another
Undo the wrong done to a sister or brother
What does the displaying of power of might
Do for  the universe or  Everlasting Light

We are  not the chosen commissioned to react
To another's injustices with horrific attack
We are not the justices, the sheriffs of all
If we are not careful, we're surely to fall

The violences, around us, will bring out a tear
But how do our warheads bring healing sincere
How can we solve it: the problems we see
With missiles or bombings... please tell this to me

We are  not the chosen commissioned to react
To another's injustices with horrific attack
We are  not the justices, the sheriffs of all
If we are not careful, we're surely to fall

See how the headlines are sparkling with dismay
Over rashness in actions and horrors of the day
How can we reason it,  support it, or surmise
That showering of missiles will cause justice to rise?

We are  not the chosen commissioned to react
To another's injustices with horrific attack
We are not the justices, the sheriffs of all
If we are not careful, we're surely to fall
