Quiet are the wind streams that are heralding the morning
Fall has come upon us without need for any warning
Colors are constantly changing in the trees and in the plants
Yet each of us are aware of this: it's still okay to dance
So we dance in the Autumn just like the summer days
We sing of her colors and her ever quieting ways
The changing of the seasons so somber and surreal
Awakens in us the emotions we are so often needing to feel
The squirrels and all the feathered ones are ready for the day
Autumn catches them preparing for the colder winter way
Jumping about and digging through the ground and golden grass
Each one is ready to store away the nourishment they amass
So we dance in the Autumn just like the summer days
We sing of her colors and her ever quieting ways
The changing of the seasons so somber and surreal
Awaken in us the emotions we are so often needing to feel
Layering on the clothing that was once all stacked away
Tells us of those changes that'll come without delay
Cooler breezes blowing in the early morning sky
Challenges us all to reflect upon the season passing by:
So we dance in the Autumn just like the summer days
We sing of her colors and her ever quieting ways
The changing of the seasons so somber and surreal
Awaken in us the emotions we are so often needing to feel
