There are things in this world that are so very hard to see
Fighting and feuding and the killing of each other
We are behaving like we're enemies and not like sister or brother
Help us oh help us oh sweet Father and Creator
The violence, the warring is encircling our equator
We're losing our morality, our ability to stop fighting
Help us, dear Father... these squabbles keep igniting
The people we're fighting aren't even really fighting
These wars and these battles... by our leaders are igniting
We are the people who are witnessing the blood shed
But, when will it end Lord: this news, we so fear and dread?
Help us oh help us oh sweet Father and Creator
The violence, the warring is encircling our equator
We're losing our morality, our ability to stop fighting
Help us, dear Father... these squabbles keep igniting
The helpless, the homeless, the children who are wandering
Fall victims to the violent who demolish and are squandering
Blinded by the bloodshed that is clouding their thinking
An evil army rises and rolls on without ever blinking
Help us oh help us oh sweet Father and Creator
The violence, the warring is encircling our equator
We're losing our morality, our ability to stop fighting
Help us, dear Father, for these squabbles keep igniting
The news and the media and the talk hosts keep saying
Things that are so spiteful and so often so degrading
What should we believe Lord or what should we be thinking
The trade in for our conscience..the gossip we keep drinking???
Help us oh help us oh sweet Father and Creator
The violence and warring is encircling our equator
We're losing our morality, our ability to stop fighting
Help us, dear Father, for these squabbles keep igniting
It is ours to discern them.. these moments that are unrolling
Do we keep with our own consciences or the CNN polling
Who do we choose now to be our Savior and Protector
The political politician or the newscast projector...
Help us oh help us oh sweet Father and Creator
The violence and warring is encircling our equator
We're losing our morality, our ability to stop fighting
Help us, dear Father, for these squabbles keep igniting
