Might as well be summer

Slowly the morning crawls into my space
Gently the sunbeams dance upon my face
With the early daylight comes the morning breeze
Summer is upon us everybody sees...

Looking out the window I can see the sky
A gentle stretch of blueness just for you and I
Clouds aren't even present: just the stretch of blue
Something of a predictor of the weather coming through

A golden stream of daylight rests upon the grass
Trees reach up to receive it: there's no need to ask
An entire day of nutrients inside each single ray
Plants and trees and creatures are nurtured for the day
