Betrayal is a most painful sting
Experiencing it is a dreadful thing
Trusting is suddenly all undone
Secrets  are compromised one by one

Promises made but  never are kept
Friends become  reasons hearts have wept
Clouds and darkness cover the light
Betrayal transforms the day into  night

If ever you should come to feel this way
And lack the courage for the day
Reach out in faith to our God above
He's always faithful, He's always love
