Evening rest

Evening calls us all to rest

In these  hours: we're her guest

Quietly singing in the breeze

She sends whispers through the trees

Hear the sunset she's around

Speaking with  an unheard sound

Moving spirits with her glance

Giving hearts a chance to dance

Like the daylight night's aglow

With a beauty you should know

Simply speaking she won't  shout

Let those worries come on out

Calming moments time to rest

Day has left this last request 

Lose those worries: rise anew

See the next day's, just for you

For your heart and mine

In the morning, if we'll  look outside

We can see so much beauty: it's  magnified

Artiscally created and placed all around

God's splashes His colors on sky and  the ground

We ponder it daily yet ..it's just not enough

So much of God's Godness: is in all this stuff

Our rushing's so habitual we pass it all by

All of this amazingness of earth, sea and sky

We hurry each morning and rush the outside

Not noticing the soundlets that are  unamplified

The whispers of nature and chirping of birds

Are a  whole different language without any words

 

We must pause for a moment,  inside of  our head

If were going to appreciate it:  dawn's special spread

Of beauty and uniqueness and glow all divine

God has arranged it for your heart and mine

Like diamonds on the ground

The day is cold and damp again

But I am feeling warm within

The Holy Spirit lovely guest

Is keeping fires within my chest

Chilling droplets dance around

Soothing me  with all their sound

Pittering.. pattering ..all the day

Creating rhythmic words to say

Not so pretty at first sight

Dampness gives these bones a fright

But the sparkling rains  around

Look like diamonds on the ground

Stop to listen look to see

All this beautiful artistry

Forming in the drops so small

We can hear them ..yes.. they call

There is beauty where you are

You don't have to travel far

In your heart and in your soul

In the elements and in the trees

In the blowing of the  breeze

In the greenery we can see

There is such beauty: yes, indeed

Many there are who  often try 

To purchase something money can't buy

And so they'll run and rush around

Seeking excitement in every town

But, as you grow in depth and love

You'll come to see like God above

That tangible things can't satisfy

They  leave you empty and wanting to buy

Once you've  found it... all you need

Your soul will rest and be so free

From all the need to spend and run

And absent ourselves completely from discussions that are not right

Let us be that haven of hopeness for a world that is so lost in dispair

And when we hear of another's sorrow... let us be ready to say, "I care" 

It costs us absolutely nothing to become those people of peace

For a world so badly broken that it can no longer sees its disease

We can become those rays of sunshine  and those carriers of God within

By help the ailing and wounded to find their wholeness and life again

This lovely winter day

The sky is wearing a greyish blue

While earth is drenched and soaked all through

The rains have passed and the sun will rise

We watch and wait for these wakeful  skies

Robins, cardinals and some squirrels too

Are looking for some  treats; I know, it's true:

A sprinkle of bread or some crackers all fine

Will be a delight and not out of line

The chills of winter are hanging around

And I can see my breath this early dawn

Yet in all this coldness, a beauty surrounds

My heart and soul with wonderful sounds

I love to ponder it this creativeness

That's ever before me, in all of this loveliness

God the Almighty is so, easily found

Sprinkling His kindness and blessing each sound

The Prodigal

 There is a story:  the prodigal son 

 That shows how sin  can be undone

 Despite the worst... the best can be

 God spares us all continuously

 

 Though many are true and so sincere

 The prodigal children are  all unclear

 Of what is right and what is wrong

 But God the Father's love is strong

 

 He'll wait and weep and wait some more

 Till all the prodigals come in His door

 Not calling to mind their terrible falls

 He'll rejoice and lift them one and all

 

Not tonight

Some nights keep the soul awake

Whispering memories that'll shake

Blissful somber from our eyes

It's okay to stir and rise

Like a demons mighty roar

Noises shake our inner door

Rousing us without a care

Satan tries to hurt and scare

With the shield from God above

We'll  give that evil one a shove

Not tonight we'll shout and claim

For we're strong  in  Jesus name..

Rains are falling

Rains are falling soft and sweet

Gently moving like padded feet

Whispering hushing all around

Love that rythmic soothing sound.

Drenched in waters mother earth

Receives the  rains who gives rebirth

Seedlets nestling  down below

Nurse the silence's loving flow

 

Soon the sun will rise again

And the soil  will dry within

Pods will open making way 

For the plantlets spring display

So much mystery so much love

In each lesson from above

All the elements all around

Teach us through their secret sound

We are all siblings

Each of us is  so different:

Some may feel like a million dollars 

And others.. just like a half a cent

But no matter how much or little you think you're worth

Just know that each of us 

has their thing to do on this blessed earth

Some, of us,  may create some mighty things

While others can barely  scribble 

or put together anything

We are all together a  compilation of a complete whole 

But alone we are just a portion 

waiting to be added to the universe's soul

So don't look askew at others, with such a judging eye

Thinking they are hardly doing anything...

wishing that they would  try

Casting judgment, on others ; who do we think we are

We are nothing without the  company of others 

Not even a dying star..

We are all of us unique but also the same

For we have been imprinted with eternity

And have, but one,  Father:  God is His name

Though some may argue against it always true

Each of us were knit together through God's Spirit

And are siblings  no matter what we do

Thank you God

Every morning and throughout the day

I will try to see God along the way

Inside each moment  and in each space

I will hear Him speaking and see His face

For He  is in the flowers and in the trees

His voice is sounding throughout the breeze

His touch I can feel it;  it's in the sun

And shines out freely on  everyone

His love  pours out through falling rain

It drenches our earth and soothes eacg pain

He sings His songs in the birds so free

He wakes me up to their lovely symphony

The whole of earth and  the sky above

Are a constant reminder  of His love

He made them all and He made me too

So if I'm grateful, I know what to do

I'll  rise each morning and spend each day

Saying I love yous along the way

For every gift and for everything

I'll praise my God and readily sing

Today we are called to be lovers not only for  that special one

But to everything and everyone around us until this day is done

Yes let us give  all our kindness and caring and give with an endless heart

To everything and everyone about us: so that  goodnes has  a place to start

To the world of creatures and plantlets as much as to our own human kind

Let us be a ray of sweetest sunshine and a givingness so easy to find

Let us not limit our giftedness to people but be willing give to all we see

The valentine that has been etched inside of us since all of eternity..

Then we will be living this holiday of chocolates and cards and sweets

Not limiting it to something so commercial that it fades away like all our treets

No we will become that valentine forever thats meant to be shared for all  ime

Lets be that transport of happiness and for everyone..let's be  God's valentine

Just look out the window and see what you can see

Listen to the universe and hear its mystery

Though movies can captivate and the internet can find

Nothing  can compare with God's beauty on your mind

SO put aside the temporal and shut off the old net

Just for a few moments .just see what you'll get

Without any of the media and without any of the noise

See what you'll  discover without using your voice

The wind and the elements and the trees in the breeze

All of the creatures who can romp as they please

Yes everything created and everything around

Shares with us secrets that's never can been found

There's places for everything and for everything a time

And so it is  we are needing those moments sublime

To balance off the everything with what won't ever end

A life with  our  Infinite and ever loving friend

The sweet melody of birds

Oh, hear, all the sounds, of these lovely birds singing ?

Doesn't it soothe you .. these songs that they're bringing?

Sweetness and lightness.. they will  share with us all:

Joyfulness is coming from these birds: great and small/

Every morning they greet us with their most beloved song

It's enough to inspires us the whole morning long

Carefreeness. other worldliness all of this combined

Comes from their melodies, like a kiss so  Divine

No earthly composition.. no, nothing can compare

With their sweetness and pureness they willingly share

Though  many are  accomplished there  never will be

A sound so uplifting as their  beauty  melody

Help for all who need

What can I hope for or expect for my heart

I stand here all broken, all scattered apart

The wise ones, they shun me:  the rich mock my name

Oh what can I hope for; outside of this shame

The love of the good God, the Eternal most High

Will reach down from the Heavens and answer my cry

He'll lift up my lowliness and mix it with His love

All this I can expect from the good God above

What am I to others or who am I at all

I can barely look forward; I continually fall

The great ones of society deny me their light

Oh who will befriend me in this deplorable sight

The love of the good God, the Eternal most High

My health, it's now failing andI am growing so old

I won't last another decade; oh, this I've been  told

My mind is all mixed up and my bones they all creak

Who'll help me find comfort and the solace I seek

What really matters

I am sorry, I cannot change what you see

When you look at me, so pitifully..

I cannot change what you  see

You cannot know me.  looking at me.. from the outside

With all of your judgements, so full of pride

You keep on looking at me from the outside.

But there is One who knows and can really see

What you fail to acknowlege and view in me

There is One who can really see..

You think,money can buy you happiness

So hour after hour, you  slave and stress

You think money can buy you happiness??

In the end, who'll be the truly happy one

When life is over and our days our done

Who will be the truly happy one

Will it  matter what kind of wealth we knew

When the dirt is shoveled over me and you 

Will it matter the  wealth we knew?

So think over everything while you  can
