Let there be peace for one and for all
I hear them, the angels, as they all call
Put an end to wars ... to all the fights
Such are the messages from these lights
My heart grows heavy ..and my eyes are dim
Crying out for things that are hurting Him
Brothers are hating, and sisters are too
What can the Almighty say or do
We were made for love and not for hate
How long will we continue in useless debate
Tearing down each other, even those we know
So that our own egos can shine and grow?
I cannot understand it and I refuse to hear
The negativity and nastiness so loud and clear
Republicans and democrats and whatever your side
The love of God in you has died
Nowhere in Scriptures can you point out
A passage supporting the smears you shout
You excuse the party that supports your side
But not the one that veering too left too right?
The violence keeps growing it's glorified
In films and movies that have multiplied
The number of murders inside a scene
Do you know what I'm saying get what I mean?
How can we continue to watch such blood
And not be disturbed by such a flood
Of Gore and violence and things unkind
What has become of human kind
The Garden of Eden was lost it's true
But hope for Salvation brings life anew
It's ours to have but it won't always be
IF we don't become what God is wanting to see
