Stepping out into the coldness...

Like icicles upon my soul, the air is hitting me in the face
Carrying with it the winter and all its preliminary embrace
Easier on the lungs its chilliness  is so very pure
And it guarantees my jaunt across the lawn will be more sure

The breezes are mighty busy and I can see them inside the trees
Quickly they rise in momentum like some storm upon the seas
Fluttering with all their movements the leaves fall only to fly
I like to watch them as they're surfing all colorful in the sky

The turtle doves are all braving it.. this unseasonable morning chill..
Without even a sigh or worry..they are continuing with their meal
Ignoring it all the coldness .. they are enjoying their present feast
These dove-lets are so vibrant that nothing deters them from their treats..

 As I head back inside of my warm place I look back once more to see
 The frostiness of the morning and  the sun that's welcoming me
 So much beauty inside the coldness so much awesomeness so much love
 Not even the temporary numbness can distract me from God Above..

You are the star...

Yet we build up our barriers and we lock people out
We claim to be followers while rudely we shout
Away from our premises and away from our place
If you fail these requirements we deny you God's grace

But we sit here so holy all wrapped up in awe
We're first to the temple then first to the mall
We bicker we battle against people and all
If religion's our breastplate, it's needing a thaw

The true signs of loving and living for Him
Are measured by actions and by motives within
We can preach Him and quote Him and say our Amen's
But nothing means anything without the support of actions.

The doubts are all mounting the gavel has fallen
Who of us really have been true to our calling
We're judgers and liars and prejudiced beasts
We bring only the privileged to our ceremonial feasts.

Who knows of a Jesus Who was clicky or rude...
Who would deny someone Friendship because of some mood
The Ultimate of huggers the Forgiver the Friend
Was known among sinners and partook of their blend..

We are only as godly as Godly we are
Our spirits betray us like children who nark
The bibles the torahs the book of islam
Can only be helpful when our loving is on ..

So open up your boundaries and let them all in
The beggars the braggarts the children of sin
Preach loving, preach kindness by all that you do
Transform them through loving and living that's true

Icy messengers

 Tiny crystals sparkle bright
 With the warmth of morning light
 Whispering softly in the breeze
 Dancing brightly on the trees

 In my breath, and in the air
 Frosty dew drops everywhere
 Not yet winter but one sees
 How the crystals start to freeze

 Sacred sculptures icy glow
 In each frosty friendly show
 From the glistening subtle breaths
 God is speaking.. .no regrets

 Oh what wonder oh what awe....
 Every icycle starts to draw
 Fancy figures dancing dreams
 Heaven's greatness priceless streams

Today we are giving thanks

Today we are giving thanks for today and everyday
For blessings and happenings that have come along our way
Acknowledging the Great Greatness that has been ever on our side
We bow in adoration of This Everlasting Tide..

For friendship and trials and for all we have known
We whisper our gratitude for the Providence God has shown
For He is Loving and is Giving and is Ever in our space
Thanksgiving is a pausing for all to acknowledge This Lasting grace

The morning, and the evening and the noon time of this day
Reminds that we are so special ..in a very special way
For we stop to remember them:  all the blessings we have received
From the hands of our Dear Creator in Whom we have believed

At the table we are now gathered and can see this gracious spread
Of love that is all incarnate in the dishes and in the bread
We can feel Him, the Great Holy Spirit of the ever Immortal One
Who has sent us our Dearest Savior as our Redeemer and His Son

Thank you ...oh yes, thank you.. to  each and every one of you today
For making this great memorial a most special and sacred day
Helping with all of your presence; your laughter and your cheer
To remember that we are a people who have blessed year after year

This Christmas come back Here...

Far away from the company ..far away from  the light
Your eyes have grown weary, and your heart is all torn
Come bring Me your worries for you are all worn

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace
I've walked there before you and I know all your pain
This Christmas come back Here and with Me remain

The tempests have tossed you like a boat on the seas
You've listened to doubters that pass like the breeze
There's only one answer to all of your pain
It's here in My Presence..you have everything to gain..

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace
I've walked there before you and I know all your pain
This Christmas come back Here and with Me remain

There is no set ruling about what you should say
I'm here in your being just whisper and pray
I don't need any churches or temples to see
The love that you are needing: just spend time with Me

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace

Every moment is my rebirth..

Autumn breezes sing to me of
Coming winter and Lasting Love
Like angels with their hearts aglow
Creation sings songs we should know

Bitter rains with icy cold
Challenge all to be so bold
To venture out: to walk/explore
Beyond the safety of our door..

Frosty figures, ride the wind
And follow us till we come back in
Like dancing dancers they all go
Spreading glitter to and fro

Brave the elements go outside
Let your soul and earth collide
Through the energy of the day
Hear what God has yet to say

The earth is becoming one big battle place
Everyone is  fighting for power and space
Name calling, and cheating,  and hate:
What has brought us all to this state?

Act like they're in some wrestling rings
Mud slinging and divisions and war..

Over such craziness,  they've  all begun fighting.
Like: who are you going to vote for
"Agree with my view or there's the door..."

The atmosphere of quarrelling and hate
Has become like a thick smog as of late
People who are all from the same nation
Are living like they're seeking some separation

True friends..

True friends will support us: not just for a day
They're present...ever present in a most special way
Through texting or smiling or liking a post
Friends are our friends without needing to boast

The proof of one's friendship is measured by time
Year after year they can inspire us to rhyme
They move us towards greatness, they're here till the end
Nothing's more priceless than the heart of a friend

So let's cherish our friends and let's give them some praise
Let's thank them for kindness: for unending days,
Of sharing and caring and being around
There's nothing more needed than a thank you's sweet sound
