I am not looking for any handouts in the line of extra friends
I'm only seeking connections that are here without pretense.
I'm not another write off for someone's list of things to do.
But I'm someone truly valuable in the right setting it is true.. You really must be cautious in the words you choose to say
The way you seem to express them gives your intentions all away
The motives and the reasons and the authenticity or not
Comes out in all you're saying: it's obvious what you've brought... I rather be a loner than have a friendship that's untrue
Don't come to me with sweetness if that's not a part of you
I'd rather someone who is crazy and authentically a fool
Than be on someone's bucket list they feel they have to do....

Look out of your window and see everything that's there:
The sky up above you ..and the gently moving air
The creatures who are seeking and looking for some food
Everything around is saying: Life is really good
Temptations might be taunting and moving you to be sad..
Creating for you images that make everything look bad
But, you have it inside you .. the spirit of our God
You can disperse all of these robbers with one single nod
Don't let daytime escape you without enjoying what's there
Or night time overtake you without entering into prayer
You are spirit and body and need a balance for the two
Nothing is more fulfilling then a Godly life..it is true..
Are you so tired..upset and weary
Over all the nonsense..you've been hearing.
What do you do now.. where should you go
There is, but, one place.. you should know
It is the heart of, One, Who's knowing All that the media has been showing It is that Place where: all is healing Go now and be there: you'll love that feeling
Have you been searching ..and looking around
For something fulfilling.. but..it can't be found
Perhaps you're going where you can't receive..
Turn off that noise now ..and simply breathe..

The other day we were talking .. the two of us... we were
A ping lit up your cell phone; you became distracted..it's for sure
Before you knew it, we were changing: no longer having the time
Consumed with all of the have to's . togetherness was hard to bind.
And we wonder what is happening to the people who we were Our lives are becoming a rat race we're communicating less for sure If this is what is required to become part of the American dream I don't want it; you can have it: it's destroying our happy team
The number of breakups is mounting in the good ole USA
Divorce and non commitments are so prevalent today
Our people are no longer stopping or taking the time they need
To keep their families united..or to squash out personal greed..
And we wonder what is happening to the people who we were Our lives are becoming a rat race we're communicating less for sure If this is what is required to become part of the American dream I don't want it; you can have it: it's destroying our happy team
The remedy, is so very easy for all this madness, that's everywhere
We need to take some moments and tell some people that we really care
We need to shut down our cell phones and our computers when we meet
There isn't any other solution .. .this one we cannot beat..

Morning's whispering to my soul: "It's time to rise and shine"
So much beauty's waiting here ... nothing's out of line
Trees and plantlets; jumping birds; rabbits nibbling away
Waiting for me to greet them all; as I'm starting out my day..
Molecular formations, all unseen; and atoms two by two
Create the atmospheric feel that will push our day on through
The beams of golden yellowness, sweets extensions of the sun
Reach out with so much givingness: and neglect not even one..
The sounding silence from the earth.. supports the creatures song
And if we can listen hard enough we'll be able to join along
For their melody is that of peacefulness that comes from what they do
Our hearts and minds can become their words if we allow God's graces through
Too much rushing and too much noise can smother out the Love
That's oozing from the streams that flow from the Eternalness above
We need to be silent and to be still and let the Spirit speak
For He's not going to try to shout... in His stillness we will meet
