A question for you...

Do you ever think about the squirrels that scamper all around
The trees, the birds, the universe ; the early morning sound?
Do you ever hear the breezes, the winds inside the trees?
Is there anything you ever notice, would you tell me if you please?

When the morning is finally breaking; do you notice the golden sun;
And the moon, so high above you, do you see it when day is done?
Do you smell the smell of the roses and notice the fragrant air
Surrounding the trees and the flowers and the blooming bushes everywhere?

When you're walking upon the beaches or are near to bright blue sky:
Does it ever happen to phase you, the many life forms you're passing by?
Or do you go about your business, your walking about,  to and fro
Without taking the time to ponder the universe above and below?

What it is I'm trying to get to when I'm writing this verse and rhyme
I'm trying to ask if you have moments when you're not worried about clocks or time
Are you ever so free and  so unworried about the schedule or things you must do
That you can sit down without worry and hear the universe all around you?

Morning musings

The robin, she is singing, I hear her morning song
The darkness is still lingering; but not for very long
For the morning, she is breaking and daylight's drawing near
Soon the waking universe will be part of what I can hear...

While all the world is resting and the noise hasn't begun
I'll be watching the horizon for the rising of the sun
For the mystery of the morning is the one I like the best
I gaze upon the Heavens and I take in this tranquil rest

Oh the beauty of all beauties; oh, masterpiece divine:
The earth is God's creation and His temporary shrine
We're all but passing through here this created atmosphere
Journeying to our homeland while  beautifying here.

Sudden storm

Thunder rumbling at a distance shaking up the ground
Rushing through the clashing cloud mass:  making fearful sound
Lightning posting through the air space: touching here and there
Makes its flashes, burning brightly: dazzling all with care

Darkened clouds with ominous soundings, moving with command
Shows the universe what's been waiting can you understand?
Sombering silences taking the front stage quieting  one and all
Then the eruption of the wind surge produces tornadic squall

In an instant and in a moment, the calm will shake most terribly
Then in a space of very few seconds be restored so miraculously
Time is measured by the units that has been assigned by mortal man
But  has no place within the infinite do you understand?

Grey silent skies

Grey silent skies are announcing the day
Sunshine is hiding and showers are on the way
Birds are singing happily unfazed by the weather
Spring is their melody. They chirp it together

Solemness is speaking and sounding her warning
Stormy-ness is coming, invading the morning
Despite all the grey-ness the bleakness of sky
Creatures are romping and passing us by

The sounds of the springtime are heaven to me
Beautifully resonating from all that I see
The universe, the cosmos, and the world all around
Shines with a newness and are bursting with sound..

There is always something more...

Who am I trying to impress
With my fad or with my dress
Or who am I trying to be
With my boast of "notice me"

There is always something more
Than the things inside a store
Something void of glow or shine
Yet a treasure in my mind

Where am I trying to go
Do I lead or do I follow
What is it that I believe
Things I'm told, things I read?

There is always something more
Than the things inside a store
Something void of glow or shine
Yet a treasure in my mind

What is it  I think I need
What motivates, what's my creed?
What is in the things I seek..
Insecurities starting to  peak.?

There is always something more
Than the things inside a store
Something void of glow or shine
Yet a treasure in my mind

Waking the dawn

While shadows still hide the light of the sun
And evening is ending and day is  begun;
Sounds of the singing, the most joyful noise,
Emerge from the tree limbs in purity of voice

Quietness is speaking and solemnity stirs
The spirit is pondering over all that occurs
Darkness is fading, we can see it  so plain
The morning star rises and shines once again..

Hushed are the moments and silent the ways
Of morning star's movements in each of its rays
Yet all of them are touching and moving us within
How radiantly resplendent is the dawn entering in..
