Today we are giving thanks

Today we are giving thanks for today and everyday
For blessings and happenings that have come along our way
Acknowledging the Great Greatness that has been ever on our side
We bow in adoration of This Everlasting Tide..

For friendship and trials and for all we have known
We whisper our gratitude for the Providence God has shown
For He is Loving and is Giving and is Ever in our space
Thanksgiving is a pausing for all to acknowledge This Lasting grace

The morning, and the evening and the noon time of this day
Reminds that we are so special ..in a very special way
For we stop to remember them:  all the blessings we have received
From the hands of our Dear Creator in Whom we have believed

At the table we are now gathered and can see this gracious spread
Of love that is all incarnate in the dishes and in the bread
We can feel Him, the Great Holy Spirit of the ever Immortal One
Who has sent us our Dearest Savior as our Redeemer and His Son

Thank you ...oh yes, thank you.. to  each and every one of you today
For making this great memorial a most special and sacred day
Helping with all of your presence; your laughter and your cheer
To remember that we are a people who have blessed year after year

This Christmas come back Here...

I have heard all of your crying .. late into the night
Far away from the company ..far away from  the light
Your eyes have grown weary, and your heart is all torn
Come bring Me your worries for you are all worn

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace
I've walked there before you and I know all your pain
This Christmas come back Here and with Me remain

The tempests have tossed you like a boat on the seas
You've listened to doubters that pass like the breeze
There's only one answer to all of your pain
It's here in My Presence..you have everything to gain..

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace
I've walked there before you and I know all your pain
This Christmas come back Here and with Me remain

There is no set ruling about what you should say
I'm here in your being just whisper and pray
I don't need any churches or temples to see
The love that you are needing: just spend time with Me

And I will console you and give you release
I'm King of the Heavens ..the true Prince of Peace
I've walked there before you and I know all your pain

In these moments: calm and still

When the heart is with the will
Quiet whispers soft and sweet
Bring my soul its needed treat

Like the moonlight or the sun
As they're shining over everyone
So God's grace so warm so real
Teaches, directs me:  heart and will

No more question ..no more why's
All is present before my eyes
Without classroom, without book
I am taught to see to look.

With the angels with the saints
Love is given without restraints
As in Heaven so on the earth
Every moment is my rebirth..

Through the breezes,, through the rain

Autumn breezes sing to me of
Coming winter and Lasting Love
Like angels with their hearts aglow
Creation sings songs we should know

Bitter rains with icy cold
Challenge all to be so bold
To venture out: to walk/explore
Beyond the safety of our door..

Frosty figures, ride the wind
And follow us till we come back in
Like dancing dancers they all go
Spreading glitter to and fro

Brave the elements go outside
Let your soul and earth collide
Through the energy of the day
Hear what God has yet to say

The angels above are all weeping...

Unkindnesses and rivalries galore

The earth is becoming one big battle place
Everyone is  fighting for power and space
Name calling, and cheating,  and hate:
What has brought us all to this state?

The politicians, the leaders, the kings
Act like they're in some wrestling rings
Mud slinging and divisions and war..
What is all this fighting even for?

Families and friends are all dividing.
Over such craziness,  they've  all begun fighting.
Like: who are you going to vote for
"Agree with my view or there's the door..."

The atmosphere of quarrelling and hate
Has become like a thick smog as of late
People who are all from the same nation
Are living like they're seeking some separation

True friends..

True friends will support us: not just for a day
They're present...ever present in a most special way
Through texting or smiling or liking a post
Friends are our friends without needing to boast

The proof of one's friendship is measured by time
Year after year they can inspire us to rhyme
They move us towards greatness, they're here till the end
Nothing's more priceless than the heart of a friend

So let's cherish our friends and let's give them some praise
Let's thank them for kindness: for unending days,
Of sharing and caring and being around
There's nothing more needed than a thank you's sweet sound
